These recall reports have become more common thanks to increased regulation.

Many recalls come as a result of product mislabeling, safety issues or contamination.

Coca-Cola recalling 10K soda cans in 2 states due to safety hazard: Throw out ASAP

Coca-Cola is recalling 10,000 cans of its original taste Coca-Cola soda because they may have pieces of plastic, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration just designated it as a Class II recall.

The recalled Coca-Cola cans were sold and distributed in Illinois and Wisconsin, and no injuries or illnesses were reported as part of this recall.

Throw out this coffee ASAP that’s recalled in 15 states due to serious labeling error

Bags of ground decaf coffee distributed across 15 states are now being recalled after certain bags of “caffeinated” coffee were mislabeled as “decaffeinated,” according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA voluntarily issued the recall of Our Family Traverse Ground Coffee on March 13, and the FDA classified it as a “Class II recall” on Tuesday, March 25.

Frito-Lay recalls chips sold at Walmart, Target and Amazon in 13 states. Are your favorite chips affected?

Frito-Lay is recalling its Tostitos Cantina brand of corn tortilla chips sold in 13 states due to an undeclared milk allergen.

The affected chips were sold in 13-ounce bags and were recalled after some nacho cheese chips were found to be mixed in with the regular corn tortilla chips, according to the company.

220K Segway scooters recalled due to fall risk

Segway recalled 220,000 scooters due to a defect with the product’s folding mechanism, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The defect can cause the scooters’ handlebars or stems to fold while in operation, increasing the risk of injury from a fall to those riding them.

Segway has received 68 reports of folding mechanism defects and 20 injuries ranging from broken bones to lacerations.

The products that are part of the recall include all Segway Ninebot Max G30P and Max G30LP KickScooters.

Consumers are advised to stop using the scooters and contact Segway for a free maintenance kit.

Liquid Benadryl recalled for faulty child-resistant packaging

About 2,300 bottles of 100 mL liquid Benadryl were recalled due to faulty child-resistant packaging, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Because Benadryl contains the ingredient diphenhydramine, federal law states that the product must be in child-resistant packaging.

This is because the product can risk poisoning a young child who might swallow the contents of the bottle.

Consumers should immediately keep the recalled Benadryl out of the reach of children and contact Benadryl’s parent company Arsell for a full refund.

ShopRite of Clinton recalls store-made tuna macaroni salad

ShopRite of Clinton, New Jersey, is recalling its store-made tuna macaroni salad due to a labeling error that simply labeled the product “macaroni salad.”

The product was sold on March 27 and didn’t list tuna, a known allergen, on its label.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

The salad came in 8- and 16-ounce packages with the PLU code: 20599 and UPC code: 0022059900000 and a sell-by date of April 1.

Customers who purchased these items can return them to the store for a refund or replacement.
