Morris Lare Interiors is seeking a creative, ambitious, collaborative Senior Interior Designer with previous residential design experience to join our growing team! This role is full-time and will require the ability to travel. We are searching for a candidate who is a self-starter, highly organized, has superb attention to detail, who can creatively problem-solve, and is eager to contribute to all facets of the design-process within a boutique studio environment.

Responsibilities include: Drafting technical drawings (including floor plans, elevations, and custom furniture plans); Sourcing materials & selections for various new construction, renovation & furnishing projects; Preparing for client presentations; consistently communicating with Morris Lare’s clients; Developing construction documentation; creating budgets & pricing / proposal oversight; Maintaining direct communication and coordination with our build team partners to ensure Morris Lare’s designs can be (and are being) executed on site; And surveying existing sites and helping with installations + styling.

The senior designer will be working alongside the Principal Designers of Morris Lare Interiors to lead multiple and varied FF&E projects, with the assistance of junior members of the team. Candidate must have strong communication skills for engaging with clients, vendors, showrooms, and a growing team. Ability to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing business environment is crucial. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for life-long learning who is excited to grow in the design field within a boutique studio setting!

Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Design;

4+ years of design experience in a Design Firm setting;

2+ years in an office leadership or sales position;

Sales experience with custom furniture design & window treatments;

Strong proficiency in a 3D modeling software such as Chief Architect, Revit or SketchUp;

Proficient with Microsoft office, Excel, Google, Dropbox and Adobe products;

Valid driver’s license;

Current car insurance.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE (PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED)

Experience working within Studio Designer and/or project management systems such as Asana, Basecamp and Slack.

Experience designing and drawing custom cabinetry and millwork.
